Phlebotomist
The Phlebotomist is available Monday – Friday mornings for taking blood samples that the doctors have requested. She does not deal with any other queries regarding your health.
Asthma Reviews
Regular asthma reviews help ensure your condition remains well controlled. During your appointment we may review your symptoms, inhaler technique, medication and asthma action plan. Patients with asthma are usually invited for an annual review, it is important that you attend your review so we can continue to monitor your condition and prescribe medications, if required.
COPD Reviews
Patients living with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) are offered regular monitoring and support. Reviews focus on symptom control, medication, inhaler technique and lifestyle measures that may help improve breathing and quality of life.
Diabetes Reviews
Patients with diabetes are invited for routine reviews to monitor their condition and reduce the risk of complications. Reviews may include blood tests, blood pressure checks, medication reviews and discussions about lifestyle and self management.
Cervical Screening
Cervical screening appointments are available with our trained Practice Nurses. Screening helps identify changes in cervical cells before they develop into more serious problems. Eligible patients will receive invitations when screening is due.
Immunisations and Vaccinations
We provide routine childhood and adult immunisations in line with current guidance. Vaccination is one of the most effective ways of protecting yourself and others from a range of preventable illnesses.
Contraceptive Services
Our nursing team can provide contraceptive pill reviews and advice on contraception. If you would like to discuss your contraceptive options, please contact reception to arrange an appointment with the most appropriate clinician.
Insurance Reports
Your doctor is happy to carry out private medical examinations in connection with insurance reports. The fee chargeable is in line with the recommendations of the BMA. Click here for more information.
Please note that NHS and clinical requirements will always take priority over private work, and insurance reports and these may take up to 6 weeks to process.
We do not provide letters in support of housing or ‘fit to participate in sports’ and we do not provide capacity assessments.
Travel Vaccinations
If you are planning to travel abroad, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world. Please contact reception on 686979 who will be able to advise on booking an appointment with the Practice Nurse to discuss.
